Hi guys! This will be completed part by part but of course in 1 entry. Hihi. This is regarding my YOLO but sweet escape to Penang Island with my friend, Jia.

We bought the tickets 2 weeks before. And we went there for 1 day which most of them said we were mad and the trip would fail. Hence, as a Wanita Besi, we would prove them wrong!

Basically on this entry I'm gonna share the places we visited, the food we tried and the transportation cost for 1 day.

Woke up around 4am cause we were all the way from Melaka. It took 2H to arrive KLIA2 from Melaka. Our flight was at 7.20am and we arrived at 8.20am in Penang.

When we arrived. We walked to the bus stop (depan airport je). Then we waited for the bus. We were quite anxious while waiting for the bus cause we have made several preparation and quite simple itinerary (as our guidance to where we should heading). Takut lah kalau lari schedule. A simple itinerary is important as we have 1 day to spend so we need to follow the according to the plan. Tadaaaa... the bus arrived at 8.30am. This was the first clumsy part. We knew the bus code but we quite afraid to get on the bus, so we just waited for other people to get on the bus. We were confused when we wanted to pay the fare.

The driver asked us, "nak pergi mana?". 

Again, we knew where we wanted to go hahahahhahahahahha tapi confusing gila so we asked each other "nak pergi mana eh?". 

Looking us macam confusing little cat, so the driver said "KOMTAR?". 

Then we just nodded "ahhhh yea yea yea". Hahahahahha just said yes as we knew Komtar is the same area we wanted to go.

TIPS: 

1. Please take Rapid Penang Bus 401E/401 if you heading to go to Georgetown. The bus will bring you to Jetty A.

2. The cost is RM2.70

We arrived at the Jetty around 9am. We never used any public transportation in Penang. I took Rapid Bus few years ago when I studied at UiTM Shah Alam. So basically we were both noobies. HAHA. We didn't know if the bus will bring us to the right place, and suddenly we saw the bus passing by the Chew Jetty which was included in our itinerary. We wanted to stop the bus. We pressed the button just like others did. But the bus won't stop unless at the right point. So the bus stopped at Jetty A. Luckily Jetty A and Chew Jetty isn't that far. So we walked to Chew Jetty as our first destination (changing plan). We bought a 600ml mineral water at the gas station and we continue walking. As we arrived at the Chew Jetty, we took several photos. The view was mesmerizing.

After we went to Chew Jetty we walked 300m to Jetty A. Then, as usual lah we were confused which bus we should take. HAHA. We read about CAT bus and Hop On Hop Off bus. But we were not sure which bus we should take so we just asked a driver "mana bus nak pergi area Georgetown?". The driver just pointed his finger to the next bus. So we just got into the bus (tak pasti pun sebenarnya). Haha. On the bus, we were again not sure where we should turun. So we just looking around and suddenly the bus stopped at "Jalan Transfer". I thought we already arrived to the famous Roti Canai Transfer Road. So we get off the bus. Rupanya!!!!! the stall is like 300m from the bus stop. Nak buat macam mana. So we walked there. Afraid we were heading at a wrong way, we asked a friendly uncle the right way. Finally after 10 minutes walking, we finally saw Roti Canai Transfer Road. Panjang queue! Rupanya yang beratur tu adalah beratur roti bakar telur goyang.

Then, the concept of eating at the stall, you need to allow the waiter to serve you. This is becauase, the stall is very crowded. Jangan sombong bila waiter tanya berapa orang. Aku lah yang sombong tu. Because rupanya tempat makan dia seberang kedai. So the waiter will help to bring you to empty table. They have two types of roti canai (as I knew lah), ayam or daging. So we choose both ayam and daging. Waiter lain akan bawa the food banyak-banyak in one huge tray. You need to tell them what you want.

Then, we went to Restoran Nasi Padang Pinang. Famous for its dishes. Many tasty dishes. Pilih je! After that we walked few meters to Roti Bakar Hutton Lane. Basically we started to feel tired hahahahahha because walking je.

Then kita jalan-jalan around there, cause Jia wanted to buy a cap. Then we walked like 2 minutes to Jalan Lebuh Keng Kwee. Along the road, we saw the Penang Road Famous Teow Chew Chendol. Due to bloated stomach we just looked at the customers patiently queuing for the cendol. We read about the cendol. But maybe next time. Walking along the road, we saw Dim Sum Valet. Dim Sum Valet was actually included in our agenda. However, our stomach were still full. So we continue walking and tadaaaaaa I saw a magical restaurant! And instead of eating Chee Cheong Fun at Dim Sum, I ran quicly to the Potterhead Malaysia. OMG!!!

The best day of my life. The Potterhead Malaysia serving butterbeer and I was so happy cause I got the chance to drink the butterbeer. Then, the customers can take photos with the props and cloak. Gahhhhh I swear I was the happiest even writing this pun rasa happy.


So after we finished drinking, we start walking to Chowrasta Market. Then we waited for the bus there. We catched the Rapid Penang Bus 204 to Bukit Bendera. Too bad it took a very long time. I was so impatient then I called the customer service. Luckily they answered and explained the time arrival. Kalau tak, takut lama sangat nak tunggu we probably book

When we reached Batu Feringgi, we peformed our Jama' prayers at the Medan Selera near Bukit Bendera. Convenient surau I can say though the space is quite small. Tapi enough lah untuk berehat sekejap and bersihkan muka. Bila dah rasa segar tu, then we bought the ticket to Bukit Bendera.

At the Bukit Bendera or in other words Penang Hill, we enjoyed watching the view of Pulau Pinang. Lama tak naik tram ni. Haha. Ada beberapa aktiviti dan pelbagai daya tarikan lain boleh buat kat atas ni. Tapi kita lebih kepada melihat panaroma alam saja. It is advisable to bring more money if you interested nak masuk benda benda lain. We tried our best to save cost.


Then, we booked a car through MyCar. Our next destination was RVK Pangyen. Terpaksa lah cepat ke sini sebab dia tutup awal! Takut tak sempat so straight pergi ke sini. They served smooth shaved ice with several flavours. My friend really like it. But we were the last customers! Our battery drained and kita terpaksa lah cakap dengan orang kedai untuk charge phone.

After dah makan, we went to The Mac Penang in Gelugor. We had our dinner there. Masa tu dah malam and we were exhausted. We had carbonara for our dinner. And we took MyCar again to the airport. Our flight was at 10.15pm but delayed like almost 1 hour.
