# SL1M Trainee at Menara Maybank #part1

OMG IT'S ALREADY 2017!
i really wanna share a lot of things!
1. my SL1M Program
2. my struggle here in KL
3. my PTD Online Exam as well as my PAC
4. my 2017 wishes
gahhhhh ok where to start. alright lets start with my SL1M Program
alhamdulillah it has been almost 2 months here am i at Menara Maybank, Jalan Tun Perak, Kuala Lumpur as a SL1M Trainee. A lot of things I've learnt.
The story begins when i was helping my friend jual bunga convo (couldn't remember which UiTMs since there were a lot of UiTMs kita pergi). OMG jual bunga convo is one of the best thing i ever experienced in my whole life. I enjoyed selling those flowers. I mean happy lah surrounded with flowers. Beautiful things. Ok dah berubah topik. Lets get back on our topic. Okay masa menjual tu, I received an email from Maybank. They sent an offer to join SL1M Program. Tapi i read the email one or two days after I received that. Then I realized that they actually asked me to send my resume thru the email. I did and they gave their response in a very short time and yes I went for my first interview at Menara Maybank on Nov 2016.
Unfortunately, after 2 weeks, they called to inform me the results, which I've not been accepted. Takda rezeki di department yang I supposed to go and they wanted to send me to another department and I need to attend another interview. Yes. So I attended my second interview alhamdulillah after a day I received a call where I've been accepted to join as a SL1M Trainee at Menara Maybank froabout 8 months.
Okay during the first interview, I couldn't remember the questions given. Tapi for the second interview, the interviewer asked me to:
1. introduce myself
2. explain more about my course (since my course lari dengan banking industry)
3. explain what did i do during my internship
4. give my opinion regarding '17 Budget
5. relate '17 Budget with Malaysia Economics
during the interview, it is actually important for you to answer all the questions. Sebab, bila aku dah masuk kerja kat situ, my interviewer rejected several candidates just because they couldn't answer a very simple question and they cannot speak well. Pengalaman sendiri masa second interview, aku sendiri takda huge knowledge/ideas on '17 Budget. Tapi aku bantai je based on general information yang aku baca macam macam tu je. Not that aku tak tahu langsung tapi takda lah tahu banyak like specific and all. I just read generally and give my own opinion based on people's reviews. The reviews were actually based on tweets I read on Twitter T_T it was from Nurul Izzah hahahahahahahahhahahaha. So I gave my opinion regarding educational budget and infrastructures even i was attending the interview for banking industry. Yang penting guys, you jawab je apa apa. Anything regarding opinion has no right or wrong. Tapi make sure it is related and supported with a supporting detail. Not to forget, during the interview I still remember that i said that, "it's okay if my course is different or maybe not even related to banking industry because what is important, my willingness to learn from below. Most of my friends said that what we learnt during uni mostly not really applicable bila dah kerja". Ha Ha Ha punya lah nak gila kerja kan. Bagi sikit promising words. LOL. Then the interviewer said that apa apa pun I need to learn more about Excel sebab aku banyak guna Excel later.
A day after, I've been accepted and ada 3 hari je preparation nak pergi Maybank Academy di Kajang. Masa sebelum sebelum tu memang I was busy. Pergi Melaka untuk jumpa Elia uruskan pasal tumpang rumah Melaka sekejap, then balik PD untuk pergi interview Maybank and pergi Melaka balik untuk jumpa Elia balik haha. Memang little time to prepare hahahah tapi akhirnya pada hari ahad tersebut (5/12/2016) aku pun ke Akademi Maybank untuk memulakan kehidupan baru di sana. Ecewah.
It was so fun to be at Maybank Academy. Even for a week. My training is just a week. I made new friends. Aku sebenarnya tak reti mingle around with people weh tapi tak tahu doh bila keadaan memaksa kau terpaksa jadi friendly and tegur orang which is so contradict to me. Aku tegur this one girl. She was alone macam aku gak while the rest macam dah ada gang. She looked so decent and nice. Her name is Asiah. She was my first friend at the Academy. Then, we both made friends with others. Ada Asiah, Aesh, Mun, Dania, Zati, Yana and Siti Nordiana. HAHA. Tapi some of them been placed at Dataran Maybank (under Etiqa). A very happening team I can say. We went to bazaar together sebab me and Dania were hungry and yes lepas tu we made our own ice breaking session unexpectedly. Masa dengan diorang, I'm the yougest masa tu baru 22. So happy I feel like ada kawan and at the same time ada kakak. They were friendly, nice and caring. Until now, I am so happy to know them. Ada chance jumpa diorang, kenal diorang memang happy. I am grateful for that. Happy to spend my training days at Maybank Academy! The food sedap! Tempat tidur selesa gila! The place is fully equip with many facilities. Best Best Best! During the short training, we only be able to learn about English in Business and also regarding EQ. EQ best sebab it helps me to improve myself. It helps me to be friendly. Masa tu belajar how to handle our surrounding and it is actually important to fix ourselves first before you wanna fix your surrounding (family, friends, people around you, cats dogs, problems, challenges etc)
And to those yang berminat to join as SL1M trainee, feel free to bukak FB SL1M and cuba tengok macam mana nak hantar resume to Maybank. FB SL1M ada banyaaaaaaak info pasal SL1M with other GLCs and how to apply. I was lucky dapat offer probably sebab aku pernah pergi SL1M punya career fair.
